Use a tape measure, or a piece of string that you can measure with a ruler or straight measure. Lay the tape around the animal's neck as loose or tight as you want the collar to fit, no fingers in between.
Unless otherwise specified, for dog and cat collars, measure your pet's neck and add 3 inches. If in doubt, please order the next size up.
Unless otherwise specified, for dog or cat harnesses, measure your pet's girth right behind the front legs and add 3 inches. Again, if in doubt, please order the next size up.
For the FLOWER POWER, HEARTS DESIRE and CUSTOM collar models, please add 4 inches to your dog's neck measurement.
BLING HEARTS collars, PINK PLAID, HEARTBREAKER & POLKA DOT collars & harnesses, as well as ICE collars and harnesses use "TRUE SIZING". Measure you dog's neck (torso for harness); that is his or her size!
For dog sweaters and coats, measure your dog's back from base of the neck where the collar sits to base of the tail. If the measurement is in between sizes, we recommend going up one size. Also, if your dog is stout or overweight, go up a minimum of one size for proper fit.
